The layers did hold together pretty well in our quittata, though I don't know if my palate was quite discerning enough to distinguish one flavor set from another -- or maybe I was just too hungry to care! As for the top photo -- call that a happy accident of late afternoon sun hitting the cutting board just right. Btw, I love love love the site design over at Delicious Days. Beautiful work!
