Obligatory Cat Photo #1

Stay away from the food, and while you’re at it, hands off the cheap Chilean wine.

We're not quite sure how it happened, but Belly Timber took a year-long hiatus. Yes, it was agony. The cats sought their revenge by clawing our rugs and peeing in our shoes. Sometimes, we went days without cooking and our kitchen appeared frighteningly clean. Shameful, shameful indeed.

Wow Mrs D,
That is a GREAT! personality shot :) She has the BEST whiskers I have ever seen. What’s her name?
Welcome to Weekend Cat Blogging! What a wild photo! Looking forward to reading more of your posts and seeing more kitty pics. : )
Thanks Clare & Farmgirl!
The Cat’s name (when she’s not posing as “The Cat” for this blog) is Audrey, named — many years ago — after the lucious Audrey Horne of Twin Peaks fame.
I have TONS of kitty, puppy, food, island, you name it pics, and as soon as I can get the ‘puter reconfigured so it’s easier to catalog/photoshop/upload them all, I’ll be posting on a regular basis and creating galleries linked off Belly-Timber’s main page. Oh, and I have to figure out that silly Technorati tag thing as well. Ah, I remember the olden days, when I was current with technology… Wistful sigh…
How interesting that the Cat got her name from that Twin Peaks femme fatale. Can she twirl a cherry inside her mouth and make it in that heart shape that Audrey used to do? I was seriously addicted to that show long ago so I remember only bits and pieces of it.
Can’t wait to see your collection of pictures.
Hi Mrs D., Chopper Dave,
Audrey defintely looks like she means it, too – is she really the same one from the about page ? ;))
How do Platelicker and her get along?
Looking forward to more photos…
Too funny! Guard cat!
Hi Mrs D – this is such a great shot, I love both the colour and texture (and of course, her angry face!) It reminded me of a cat that my parents used to have – he was ‘wild’ – would steal Sashimi (raw fish, same as Sushi without rice) from our table and run away, growl at us if we try to take the fish back!
Hey boo_licious, I can’t say that I’ve ever seen my cat tackle a maraschino cherry, but I do remember my friends and I making many many attempts to do the Audrey thing, every time we ordered rum & cola at the bar. :-)
Oliver, I wish I could say that they get along grand, but alas, Platelicker believes it is her solumn duty to chase the cat any chance she gets. She is rather a pest that way, and Audrey is quite an old lady (going on 17 now) so she doesn’t care for the action one bit!
Megwoo, that’s what I thought too when I too the picture. She’s very protective of her counter space!
Keiko, oh my, I would do everything in the world to keep Audrey away from sashimi! I love it far too much! :-)
