    that is one purty dog, what is he? i had a cream colored husky mix that looked like that once… lived a block from the beach and was constantly amazed at how much sand he could drag home!

    Hey kitchenmage, that there purty dog is big ol’ mix of malamute, akita, and wolf with a teaspoon of chow and a dash of lab added in for good measure. And yeah, she’s been known to come back from the beach with buckets of sand, and from the woods with entire branches of wild rose hanging off her tail (not to mention deer bones in her mouth!)

    Hey farmgirl — I would be too except the water here is really really cold!!

    Adorable! Reminds me a bit of one of my dog. I enjoy looking at the cats but am glad a dog weekend blog has started. ;-)

    My dog is glad too, Paz! She’s got a great new puppy pal to show off as well, and I’ve been snapping TONS of pics of the both of them. The Cat’s starting to get jealous.

    Yes, our good friends (who live about 12 miles from here) just got a yellow lab puppy. She’s amazingly sweet and extremely photogenic! (More so than my pooch who tends to turn into a big fuzzy black spot if she’s at all in the shade!)

    LOL! I have the same problem photographing my dogs. I like the description “big fuzzy black spot.” Yup, that’s one of them.

    Thanks, Nupur! It’s actually quite rare that she poses. Usually it’s all about sneaking up on the pooch before getting tackled.

    My puppy has now taken notice that her photo has more comments than The Cat’s photo. She is taunting the cat appropriately. Not that she doesn’t taunt the cat inappropriately on a regular basis.
