Hey B'gina, belated reply here (still catching up with everything!): Hooray for Nanoers! Last year my burst was at the very end -- I went from 17k to 42K in two and a half days (talk about a major Kerthunk). Fantasy/paranormal romance sounds cool -- there's a new publishing line (I'm forgetting by whom) that's concentrating on that particular genre. Mine is historical fantasy, set in the late 1700s.

Shauna -- don't worry, we're heading off-island for fun reasons soon. Writing every day does feel good. Such a mood-lifter -- I honestly don't know why I don't do it more often.

Kalyn -- don't be intimidated; you'd do great at this!

I'm thinking that if I didn't live so darn close to Costco, I could save a lot of money! Can't wait to see the entries for Paper Chef. (So far I am still too intimidated to enter, but I am learning from reading what others enter. I'm working up to it.)

Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's giant cans of tuna calling you, but good to know you venture off the island sometimes.

And hey, I finally posted my Paper Chef. I'm proud of it: glutenfreegirl.blogspot.com/2005/11/lamb-basil-citrus-and-fish-stock-must.html

Also, I'm trying NaNoWriMo, but more quietly. No word count, just writing every day. Feels good.

Wow, you're doing NaNo? I'm way behind schedule, but I usually hit a burst of verbosity and make up for lost time about mid-way through the month. What are you writing? I'm doing a kind of fantasy/paranormal romance.
