WCB #27: (Twenty SEVEN?)

The Cat has things she needs to discuss

My captors have neglected me yet again.

Three weeks, I tell you, three weeks without cat blogging. Will this torment ever end?

I am told they are (as always) busy. My male captor, the one called “Chopper” for reasons that quite terrify me, is keeping long hours at the restaurant and cooking for rock stars.

I kid you not. Here’s the conversation upon his return last night:

Dude, he says (he often calls my female captor “dude”), Steve Miller came in again. He loved the cod so much he had to come back. And my Egg Nog Panna Cotta was a huge hit!

Cool beans, my female captor exclaims, despite the fact that she’s eating soup out of a box for dinner and has completely ignored my requests for a third meal of the day.

So. You gonna blog it? he asks.

If I get to blog about the time I once served dinner to the Ramones, she answers.

Oooo. See? Now aren’t we special? Well, I’ll show them. I’ll find my own rock star and I’ll… well, just you wait.

Oh, and meanwhile? What’s my female captor been doing while she’s stuck at home not cooking? Trying to learn a new blogging platform so she can do new and pretty things with the blog and link to important posts in the archives like this one and this one and this one.

Yes, those links are all about me.

As well they should be, dammit.

Come to think of it, this entire blog should be about me. In fact… that’s it. Tonight, when she’s fast asleep, I’m taking over the computer, learning Photoshop, and designing a new logo. Here’s a sneak preview. Shhhh. Don’t tell.
There, now isn't that better?

(For weeekend cat blogging of a less sinister nature, check out Clare and Kiri’s blog over at eat stuff!)

  1. LOL!!!!!
That was fantastic! Loved it :)

  2. I hope it is a bloodless coup!

  3. Hey, don’t give the rest of the furry friends any ideas!

  4. Cool Bean Sprouts!!
Steve Miller. Is he still as corpulent as he became in the 80s? Pompitous! (Don’t feed him too well, Chopper.)
My dog calls his female captor “that lady I don’t like.” Eh.
Does your blogging feline have a name?

  5. I support your take over of the blog! Psst, can you change the name though – Angry Kitty blog just don’t sound too nice.

    Lots of love

    Boo the cat

P/s who is Steve Miller and the Ramones?

  6. “I’ll find my own rock star and I’ll… well, just you wait.”

May I suggest Billy and the Boingers?

  7. Very clever, your kitty has amazing talent not having opposable thumbs and all!

  8. Ah, I’ve wrestled the compy away from The Cat, so now I can resume regular blogging. I’ve a feeling this won’t be the last time… She may not have opposable thumbs, but she has impressive control over her pointy tail.

So… Cookie, I honestly don’t know about the current size of His Pompitousness (Pompitousity?). Chopper is stuck in the kitchen and lacks a view of the dining room, so the Space Cowboy’s visage is as elusive now as it was on his old album covers.

Also, The Cat’s sekrit true name is Audrey, after the lovely Audrey Horne from Twin Peaks. (Yes, I’ve had her that long.

Hey Boo — I’m afraid it’s too late, my Cat appears to have stolen my bank card and registered angrycatblog.com overnight. I dread to think what she intends to do with it.

As for the rock and rollers, Steve Miller was popular back in the Jurassic era, er, I mean the 1970s, and I was about to say he’s retired, but then I googled and discovered he still tours. Also, he lives part-time on our little island up here in northern Washington.

Now the Ramones, on the other hand. Ahhh… Great late 70s/early 80s punk band from Long Island NY. Long gone though, and three of the original members are dead, sad to say. I miss them.

(Dang, I feel soooo old now!)

Kevin…Thbbbt! Billy and the Boingers! Haahahha! Perfect! (I miss them, too!) Ack!

  9. Ha ha! Love it! Miss Jazz stays grouchy even though we do everything she says, except leave the front door open.

  10. Hah. Our dog has figured out how to push the side door open by herself, which, in the winter, is quite annoying. The Cat lacks a cat door and so must complain. Or do unspeakable things in corners of the house. (Grrr.)
