I don't know if it was the cool weather not making the aromas waft about like a hot summer might, but the cats didn't seem aware of it...until the first time I broke off a branch to see if they'd like it. Half an hour later, it was eaten off to the ground. I think every cat within a mile must have come by for a nibble.
