Hah! I imagine you're right. I do believe cats can smell catnip from at least a mile away!

At least they look like they get along. :G: I used to grow catnip when I lived in San Francisco. I don't know if it was the cool weather not making the aromas waft about like a hot summer might, but the cats didn't seem aware of it...until the first time I broke off a branch to see if they'd like it. Half an hour later, it was eaten off to the ground. I think every cat within a mile must have come by for a nibble.

Yep. I'm evil. It's all my fault. :-)

(I'm glad she did, but I do hope that certain impolite visitors to that thread read MM's and Sam's most excellent final two comments first.)

Hah! And a dog in it too: I've hit the trifecta!

Sad to say though, I not only don't grow my own catnip (the cat eats it in infancy every time I've tried), but that crumply paper is only catnipy because it's been sprayed with catnip spray. Rather far removed from an actual herb. (Dang, so maybe no trifecta after all...)

Oh, and no, they don't play together well at all.

Our cats go crazy for the catnip, but our dog doesn't act as interested as yours is, too cute!
