It's a somewhat older digital camera, not great, but what I usually do with this sort of photo session, is set it on macro & motor drive and just let click while the cat's on the floor in front of me. I have a LOT of out-of-focus shots as well, and I was lucky her claws didn't scratch the lens! Thanks everyone!
