WDB #23: So close, and yet so far away

weather warm; pond still frozen

On the plus side, Platelicker clearly understands that stepping onto a frozen pond to retrieve a ball is a Very Bad Thing.

Poor guy. He sure can get the frustration into his expression.

Is that a daffodil coming up next to him?

    That is one beautiful puppy.

He’s beautiful. When I first loaded the page I thought it was a photo of a bear. :)

What a gorgeous dog! And he even seems to match his blue ball in this lighting.

Platelicker has a gorgeous face expression and is very beautiful!

The puppy thanks you all. :-)

Yes, that is a daffodil, and it’s now in full bloom, though it doesn’t quite feel like spring here just yet. I still need to stock up on new tennis balls, though. I retrieved that one just after I snapped the picture, and then the pup proceeded to lose it somewhere in the brambles. Silly girl.

Best photo ever. He is so gorgeous!

  9. Jamie Says:

    Er, or is it “she”?

  10. mrs D Says:

Thanks, Jamie! And yup. She. Though pretty much everyone mistakes her for a boy dog — even our friends who know her well. I’d say it’s her grand, wolf-like countenance that does it, but more likely it’s the fact that she’s too much of a klutz to be thought of as a graceful girl puppy!
