Weekend Cat Blogging (with shiny, wiggly things)
I won’t sit still for it.
Not one second.
(Hah. Clever photographer, thinks she can snap photos of me anyway.)
Well.
I can understand leaving the dog behind. After all, dogs are excitable. They freak out, unlike cats who never ever ever freak out. Am I right?
But truly, I must protest! Do I need to point out that cats harbor an undying love for all things shiny and wiggly?
So, why oh why can’t we watch shiny, wiggly things in the sky?
Shiny paper, shiny baubles, shiny bits of ribbon…
Nope. We’re left behind.
Which means I have to raid my female captor’s computer to present the following slideshow: An Evening of Shiny Wiggly Things over Friday Harbor.
I hope you enjoy it. I would have enjoyed it more if they’d let me watch it in person. Silly captors.

Carnival of the Cats #120…
Welcome to the 120th Carnival of the Cats: Demolition edition.
What, you may ask, does demolition have to do with the Carnival of the Cats? Nothing, really, but

SCARY shiny wiggly things!
Oh, right. That would be from a dog’s perspective.

What I really want to see are Kitchenmage’s adorable kitties attacking a TV screen display of fireworks, because you know they would!
(I told her I’m getting kitties when I get back to Portland. I can’t stand the lack of kitties any longer. There’s only so much playing one can do with an 18 year old cat before the catnip wears off. And Platelicker would love new things to chase. Especially things that enjoy being chased. Like kitties! Wheee!)

Cat - u don’t want to watch them. Those wriggly stuff sound loud and horrible that you will run and hide under the bed. My kitties know as we live near fireworks central and they hate it!

Your cat could kick my dogs’ ass! They ran and hid with all the fireworks…and one got a little too close to a sparkler…I still feel kinda bad about that one…
PS. The romantic anniversary meal that Chopper made for you (sans maid outfit and all) is positively beautiful!

The Cat refuses to believe Boo. She’ll probably be sorry for that some day.
Michelle - oh no on the sparkler! That would be scary.
Thanks, Tricia! The fireworks are pretty nifty here for such a small town.
