Back to our roots

back to our roots
Portland Farmers Market, October 2006

Well we know where we’re going
But we don’t know where we’ve been
And we know what we’re knowing
But we can’t say what we’ve seen
And we’re not little children
And we know what we want
And the future is certain
Give us time to work it out.

–Talking Heads, Road to Nowhere

So many changes, so much to say, but it’s late and I promised I’d post before midnight.

Also, pssst. A work in progress, over here.

  1. Those are some wonderfully gnarly roots.

  2. Root vegetables – is it that time of year already? This year is seriously flying past.

  3. Yee-haw! (Budda-bum, budda-bum…)
    Oh, sorry. TH nuttiness.
    Missing you.

  4. Kimberly, you should have seen the parsnips. Okay, maybe they weren’t quite so gnarly, but they were spectacular, as root veggies go.

Scott: I just filled out my next 60 day calendar on the dry-erase board and it goes into 2007. Now that’s flying!

    CC: Where’s your Big Suit???

(I picked that song, by the way, because it’s been stuck in my head for days. It just feels right for this moment. Especially those last four lines.)

  5. It’s all right. Baby, it’s all right.
    Wish you wellness and working-it-outness.

  6. Heh. And here I am, stumped again on the whole working-it-outness of Blog #2. (See linkie above.)

Today I’m back to wanting two blogs. Tomorrow I may want to merge them into one again.

  7. I’ve got another blog project perking too. But mine’s stayin under wraps for a little longer. Too much pressure!

  8. deep roots you have there

  9. Those are some beautiful PNW roots, Miz D. So glad you’re back in the area, but take your time. Good luck with blog #2 – it looks great (even if it has “bugs”).
