The best part about the wedding was nobody minded that their clothes had no hems, or that the groom was barefoot and the bride had a rubber band for a belt. It was perfect. They were both radiant, so much in love, and their smiles never wavered.
We're not quite sure how it happened, but Belly Timber took a year-long hiatus. Yes, it was agony. The cats sought their revenge by clawing our rugs and peeing in our shoes. Sometimes, we went days without cooking and our kitchen appeared frighteningly clean. Shameful, shameful indeed.

Thank you, abby. I wish I could find another picture that went with this one. I had a baby troll (about an inch high) that I photographed in the heart of a red rose. I thought I had a print of it, but it didn’t turn up in my collection. I’ve a hunch it might be in slide form somewhere.
